Khartoum, May 3 (SUNA) - The head of the National Umma Party, Major General Burma Nasser, has indicated efforts to resolve the country’s political crisis is continuing, pointing to the tripartite initiative led by the head of the UN mission in Sudan, Volker Perthes, the representative of the African Union, Mohamed Weld Labat, and the representative of IGAD.
During the meeting of the independent December Revolution Entities Gathering at the National Umma Party headquarters today, Burma asserted the need to unify the national ranks and work to conduct a dialogue that leads to a Sudanese-Sudanese solution.
He noted that the National Umma Party stands against any external interference in Sudanese affairs, and supports any efforts that call for facilitating the Sudanese-Sudanese dialogue.
Burma called on the independent December Revolution Entities Gathering to unite and adhere to the national goals without relying on any party, political or otherwise, stressing the need to protect the independent December Revolution Entities Gathering and prevent it from being stolen, welcoming the visit of the gathering, emphasizing that the UNP is an inclusive entity and supports every initiative that leads to the country’s security and stability.

Meanwhile the independent December Revolution Entities Gathering conducted social and thought visits, which included a number of famous figures, including actress Fayza Amasib and the media figure, Awad Jadin Mohieldin.
It is worthnoting that the gathering’s delegation included Mona Ezzat, the gathering's Secretary-General, Younes Kaji, the political secretary of the gathering, Maulana Hassan MohammedAhmed, head of the legal department of the gathering, and gathering’s media coordinator Ahmed Abdeen.
