Khartoum, April 19 (SUNA) - The President of the Transitional Sovereignty Council (TSC), Gen. Abdel-Fattah Al-Burhan has lauded the great role being played by the Sudan’s Elders Council in bringing the views of all political parties closer together, and adopting dialogue as a method for managing the transitional period and democratic transition, resorting to wisdom and self-restraint.

Al-Burhan welcomed the initiative of the elders to unify and coordinate national initiatives which are part of sincere national efforts to resolve the current political crisis.

Al-Burhan assured when meeting in his office today with a delegation of Sudan’s Council of Elders the need to expand the circle of participation to bring all political forces that believe in change together.

For his part, Member of Sudan’s Council of Elders Prof. Alaa-Eddin Al-Zaki pointed out that the delegation briefed the President of the Sovereignty Council on the outcome of the consultations and meetings that took place with political forces, indicating that the council held several workshops to analyze and collect the initiatives proposed to solve the crisis, estimated at 35 initiatives to make a matrix and a proposal for the constitutional document, noting that Al-Burhan has underscored all the proposed solutions and visions.

The member of the Elders Council indicated that the coming days will witness more coordination between all initiatives to find a common national formula to solve the current political crisis, promising that the crisis is on its way to a breakthrough within the coming few days.
