
Khartoum, Feb. 15 (SUNA) - The Vice - President of the Transitional Sovereignty Council, Gen. Mohamed Hamdan Daglo, affirmed that the doors of Sudan are open to all the international companies so that the country can benefit from modern technologies in the fields of production.
At the dinner banquet he gave Wednesday in honor of the Director of the World Food Program, David Beasley, accompanied by an investment delegation from various countries, Gen. Daglo welcomed the visiting delegation and affirmed the readiness of Sudan government to provide facilities to all international investors, and to overcome all obstacles facing their work in the country.
He stressed Sudan ability to achieve the slogan "Sudan is the world's food basket", with its vast and fertile lands.
Gen. Daglo emphasized Sudan need for modern technologies in order to compete with its products globally, indicating that 80% of production in Sudan comes from small-scale farmers, who are in need for agricultural machinery and improved seeds for enhancing their products.
The Vice - President of the Sovereignty Council expressed his pleasure over the presence of the Jenan Company and companies of the United Arab Emirates in Sudan, assuring investors that the first priority of the current government and the next civilian government is to enhance the laws that attract investors.
He said that Sudan has studied the experiences of some countries in this field, especially the experiences of Rwanda and the United Arab Emirates, so as to benefit from them in promoting its capabilities.
